Force Majeure
Somewhere in the Andes, in a nebulous border zone never claimed by any nation, is the last of the free cities. Candida is a blank on the map. Here there are dragons.
Kay travels across the Atlantic to Candida on business. She soon finds herself lost in an unfamiliar city without a job or a home. She's taken in by the oldest house in the city and put to work by its inscrutable chatelaine. She may have lost control of her life but she knows that Prospero is coming to open the hidden city to the outside world.
While she waits, she makes new contacts, allies, even friends: the exgunrunner, blinded by the light; the soldier-poet, loyal to dreams of the dead; the courier who wants to become a bird; and Xan – fascinating Xan – who may be all of Kay's dreams come true.
They all have stories of the city, its history and its powers. Some of them might even be true.
Here there are dragons.
An incredible fantasy from a major new talent.

Black Tide
By Del Stone Jr
Miller, a university professor, and two of his students take a trip out to a spoil island in the middle of Santa Rosa Sound in the Florida Keys to study the effects of pollution on the flora and fauna. While they are there, a tide of black microbes is released into the river, and floods down and around them. They escape by burying themselves in the sand, but when they emerge, it is to a world which is strangely silent and changed.
Before long, burning figures are glimpsed along the distant banks, dragging themselves into the water. Then the attacks start. With daylight their only weapon, Miller realises that time is running out as an army of the living dead, intent on feasting on their flesh, is gathering in the surrounding waters.
A classic tale of horror in the great tradition of 'Night of the Living Dead'.

A Manhattan Ghost Story
By T M Wright
Do you see ghosts?
Photographer Abner Cray arrives in Manhattan to begin work on an illustrated book of the city. However he finds that Art, the owner of the flat he is staying in, has gone missing, leaving behind a beguiling and sensuous young lady called Phyllis Pellaprat to whom he's instantly attracted. Soon Abner is deeply involved with Phyllis and is wholly unprepared for the revelation that Art is actually wanted for her murder - an event which took place some time earlier. When Phyllis disappears, Abner wanders the streets, and he sees what appear to be disaffected and strangly acting people everywhere - hailing taxis, selling puppies on street corners, pushing baby carriages, and he starts to suspect ...
This classic novel was first published nearly twenty-five years ago: it's a hypnotic, spooky page-turner that is by turns a terrifying slide into madness and an effective love story.
"T M Wright is a rare and blazing talent." Stephen King
"Wright convincingly proves that he understands, as few do,
how to give
a scare without spilling blood all over the page." Publishers
Weekly
"T M Wright is the best ghost story writer alive today." American Fantasy Magazine

Parish Damned
By Lee Thomas
The sickness was only the beginning of the misery for the residents of Coral Point. Every four years, the disease arrived to claim its victims. Those infected invariably withered, suffered, and, according to local legend, took to the sea in a final attempt at peace.
But things have changed. Something has arrived in the wake of the sickness, and only a lone charter boat captain understands that what now hunts the gulf beyond the reef is far more deadly than anything that the people of Coral Point could imagine.
The waters have become the shelter for a new and lethal species, a dark breed of predator that will not be confined to the waves...
"A master of the "New Southern Gothic", Lee Thomas shows that there are things lurking beneath the surface of us all that are better left alone." PD Cacek

Fallen Angel
AURORA AWARD FINALIST
The sequel to the acclaimed Guardian Angel.
When Porsche Winter sees a she-devil in a downtown Toronto bar, she knows this can only mean trouble. And trouble of the worst kind. For this is not just any she-devil, but Naamah, head she-devil and Lucifer's right hand.
With Lucifer turning his eye to the Earth, Porsche finds allies in the most unlikely places, but can Naamah be trusted?
But defeating the minions of Hell isn't as easy as it used to be. Stripped of her superior strength and healing ability as well as the weapons in Heaven's arsenal, Porsche has only one very human body with which to fight the forces of Hades.
And so it is down to one fallen angel, a small cherub and a former stockbroker to try and save every soul on the planet.
The Cover That Never Was:
When we commissioned the cover art for Guardian Angel, as we knew Stephanie was writing a sequel, we also commissioned the artist, Rick F Van Koert, to create the cover for the second book.
The idea was that as the first book had shown Porsche, an angel, in hell, we would have a complementary image on the second book of Porsche as a devil on Earth. We already had a selection of images to work from courtesy of the photographer and model, and so the artist started work creating the image we had in mind.
We only got to an unfinished draft stage before all communications with the artist ceased. In the end we had no choice but to commission a completely new and different cover from another artist and took the opportunity to re-jacket Guardian Angel at the same time. In 2006, we discovered that the artist had in fact completed the cover but had heard nothing from us ... seems to have been a mysterious total email breakdown. As the image was complete, we felt that readers might be interested in seeing what the cover of Fallen Angel could have been.

Guardian Angel
The prequel to Fallen Angel.
Following in the tradition of Laurell K Hamilton's "Anita Blake Vampire Hunter" series comes a new and sparky heroine in the form of Porsche Winter, a guardian angel with more than just her clients to worry about.
She's perky and resourceful, gorgeous and lusted after by angels and demons alike. Her mum was a saint and her dad ferries souls across the river Styx ... you've never met a girl like Porsche before.
The second Telos edition of Guardian Angel has a new cover (see above), the first (now out of print) sported an eyecatching cover (see right) by top digital artist Rick Van Koert, who has painted superheroes for several trading card sets and comic book covers, as well as working on book jackets worldwide. His work is much in demand due to the meticulous attention to detail as much as the skin tight lycra and latex that he clads his stunning female models in.
The author, Stephanie Bedwell-Grime, has had careers as a television producer, medical photographer and teacher. She is a four-time finalist for the Aurora, the national Canadian award for speculative fiction and the author of three novels and over fifty short stories.
