Authors A to Z - Arnold T Blumberg
Dr. Arnold T. Blumberg is Curator of Geppi's Entertainment Museum at Camden Station in downtown Baltimore, Maryland and author of the official museum book, Pop Culture with Character: A Look Inside Geppi's Entertainment Museum. Before that, he served as Editor of Gemstone Publishing (The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, Hake's Price Guide to Character Toys). He authored Gemstone's The Big BIG LITTLE BOOK Book: An Overstreet Photo-Journal Guide, and co-authored the second and third editions of Gemstone's Overstreet Comic Book Grading Guide. Arnold has written extensively on pop culture and entertainment for The International Journal of Comic Art, Overstreet's FAN, Comic Book Marketplace, Collector's Showcase, Dreamwatch, Borderline, Whotopia, EON Magazine, Cinescape, and Now Playing (he was also Senior Editor for the last three). He also wrote the online guide to collecting science fiction collectibles for eBay. Arnold is co-author of the indispensable guide to Doctor Who collectibles, Telos Publishing's Howe's Transcendental Toybox, now in its second edition, with two supplementary volumes covering 2003 and 2004-2005 merchandise. Arnold contributed to the Doctor Who charity anthologies, Missing Pieces, The Cat Who Walked Through Time, and Walking in Eternity. He also wrote a story for The Doctor Who Project's Season 32, developed another story and companion for the Project's Season 33 and is threatening to return for Season 35. He contributed reviews of the Doctor Who Series 2 episodes for J. Shaun Lyon's Second Flight: Back to the Vortex II, also from Telos. He designs many of Telos' other books and is the proud co-author of their new guide to zombie cinema, Zombiemania: 80 Movies to Die For. Arnold has appeared as a lecturer and moderator. He holds a Masters in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore, a Doctorate in Communications Design from the same institution, and teaches a course in comic book literature at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).
